Post RVRR "Train"ing Run
From RVRR's VP:

Hello Hill Runners -

On behalf of the Raritan Valley Road Runners (RVRR), I wanted to extend an invitation to your club to join us for our annual Towpath "Train"ing Run on June 4th. This is a non-competitive group run we hold annually on the first Saturday of June to celebrate "National Trails Day". We also use the event as an opportunity to raise money for the Cancer Institute of NJ.

As an added bonus, this year we are offering the "RVRR member" price of $20 to members of ALL NJ running clubs for those registering by May 14th. This price includes bus transportation from Johnson Park (in Piscataway) to your starting location on the towpath, support at aid stations along the route, and the post-run picnic in Johnson Park.

For those who haven't participated in this event before, the summary is that runners start at points along the D&R Canal Towpath between Trenton and New Brunswick, and run the distance of their choosing (between 0.7 and 34.6 miles!). We have a variety of pace groups from 7:30 - 15:00 min/mile, and the starting time for each group is planned so that all runners arrive in New Brunswick at the same time (11 am). Many of the pace groups start in Trenton, and pick up runners at each "station" along the towpath.

For more information, please see the attached flyer, or visit our event website:
Registration can be completed by mail or online (visit website for link to registration).

We hope to see some of your members on June 4th!

Post Re: RVRR "Train"ing Run
I had such a good time at RVRR's run last year that I'm going to get on board again on June 4th. Great party afterwards in Johnson Park, where the 'train' pulls into the station! :)
